APH: Russian Christmas: The Wandering Saint

My first Holiday artwork this season. Took roughly three weeks to complete with fifteen to twenty minutes a day (though today I spent three hours.) Lots of whining and complaining about not being able to draw and the like…XD

I come from Europe and one of the recurring themes that I saw in St. Nikolaus was a wandering man who brought gifts on the birth of the Savior Typically dressed in a bright red cloak trimmed with ermine (a royal fur..), with various other bits of dress and carrying the Bishops (Shepherds) Crook. Where he comes from is as generalized as the flakes of snow, but my favorite one has always been either St. Nikolaus from Germany, or Ded Moroz from Russia.
